Auto Enrolment Is your business ready?
Wilsons can guide you through the process, saving time and money.
The deadline for Auto Enrolment is known as your staging date, and depends on the number of staff you employ. Click here for help on how to find your staging date. The earlier you start the more straightforward the journey will be, and will help to keep the cost of implementation down. We recommend you start your planning 6 – 12 months before your staging date.
We will work with you to review your workforce and any existing pension schemes you have in place. We will then use your basic payroll data to provide an overview of Auto Enrolment including contribution options, and provide our proposition document outlining your options for Auto Enrolment and how we can work together on your solution.
When we have your instructions to proceed we will assign an expert implementation manager to take care of all the details with you, and then provide a recommendation for your Auto Enrolment scheme.
We will provide your staff with information on Auto Enrolment, help them understand why the government have made these changes and explain what you are doing as an employer to meet the requirements. We will provide a group presentation to employees if suitable, and provide you with a DVD personalised to your business and pension scheme, that can also be used as part of your new employee induction process.
We will work with you and the pension provider to review your internal systems and processes in readiness for your Auto Enrolment Staging Date. This will ensure a smooth transition of data between you and the provider on an ongoing basis.
Our support does not end when your scheme is in place. We will provide ongoing telephone support with queries arising on Auto Enrolment. To ensure compliance with the regulations at each anniversary of the scheme we will conduct a review and report on the Scheme Governance required for Auto Enrolment.
Knowing where to begin can be the biggest challenge. We will work with you to make sure you know what you need to do, and when you need to do it. If you wish we can do the rest. We’ll find the most cost effective way to manage the process and help you use Auto Enrolment to improve staff retention and staff engagement.
Together we will manage the process effectively in terms of time and cost. We’ll review your employee data, complete the necessary forms, assess your workforce and any existing pension. Where there are options available to you, such as postponement periods, we’ll work to guide you in your choices to find a solution that meets your objectives.
Communicating the changes to your employees in the right way at the right time may feel challenging. We can help you deliver this important message in person or through a personalised film – especially effective if you have shift workers, remote sites or a more mobile workforce. We will make sure that your staff understand and value what Auto Enrolment means for their future.
On your staging date you will be ready to go with your fully tested, compliant Auto Enrolment scheme. By working with us you will have met the new regulations and you will have achieved this with least amount of cost and disruption to your business.
After your staging date you will be operating your compliant Auto Enrolment scheme, but we will still be on hand to help you with any queries. Each year we will review the scheme with you to keep you on track and discuss any changes required. We can also help ensure, as other options become available or as your needs change, that your employees are enrolled in the right pension scheme.
Auto Enrolment and employee benefits keep Richard busy in the office, and with two young sons Richard and his wife have a busy home life too. Occasionally he finds time to indulge his love of football, particularly Liverpool FC, and maybe even a round of golf.
He’s in the office by 5:30am and heading to see clients soon after, so it’s difficult to dispel the rumours that he’s nocturnal! With the charm of Steve McQueen and racing skills to match, when we do see him it’s always a pleasure.
When he is not analysing spreadsheets Joe enjoys skiing in the Alps and looking for the best mountain restaurants on the slopes. He will happily spend all weekend watching rugby matches on the TV and is already looking forward to the Rugby World Cup this autumn.
When he is not eyeing up the detail for clients, Ian is happiest walking towards a summit in the hills (the more remote the better), looking to go faster on a carbon road bike or for the ‘right line’ up or downhill on his mountain bike. Whichever, life’s better with the odd loud laugh.
Charlotte runs Wilsons alongside her sister Annabel, helps businesses with insurance and financial advice, looks after her two little girls and always looks great. She juggles everything so well, she must have been a circus performer in a previous life…
Callum is always happy and optimistic, a combination you rarely find in a Notts County fan! At the weekend he swaps the world of accounts and financial systems for archaeology and climbing – he really is our resident Indiana Jones.
Our resident strategist loves a challenge – especially if it’s outdoors. Climbing mountains in Austria with the family, running marathons and training for triathlons are all the norm. When she does sit down it’s in the pub with friends and her dog Beanie, or with a good book…
