Bonningtons sponsors Midlands Family Business Awards
Nottingham family firm Bonningtons has announced it is the lead sponsor of the 2016 Midlands Family Business Awards.
The businesses’ Managing Director, Ian Fisher is the Awards’ current Director of the Year title-holder.
The awards aim to recognise exceptional individuals and entrepreneurial talent from businesses across the Midlands and all candidates are assessed and judged by an independent judging panel.
Sponsorship of the awards rounds off an unprecedented 12 months in Bonnington’s history. After an extensive rebrand of the business, focusing on the core values of Integrity, Quality and Trust, as well as continued growth across the business, Bonningtons could not think of a better time to pledge our support for the Midlands Family Business Awards.
Commenting on Bonningtons’ sponsorship of the awards, Ian Fisher said:
“Winning Director of the Year last year at the Midlands Family Business Awards was such an honour and made the hard work and determination of myself and the team at Bonningtons worthwhile. To receive validation for all the efforts that we as a business have made over the past few years from a prestigious panel of professionals was such a proud moment for me. We are all absolutely delighted to support the awards this year and can’t wait to congratulate the 2016 winners.”
Bonnington’s rebrand is only the start of Ian’s ambitious strategy for the company with plans to double in size over the next three years already well underway.
For Ian, the decision for Bonningtons to sponsor the awards was a clear call to make: “Bonningtons has and will always remain a family business and as such those family values are at the core of what we do,” he said. “We are committed to boosting the local economy and giving back to the community in which we operate and through sponsoring the Midlands Family Business Awardswe can help recognise the great business talent operating across the Midlands.”
The awards are set to be a great night where the very best talent the Midlands has to offer will be showcased and recognised. Charlotte Perkins, Group MD of The Wilson Organisation, the Nottingham based family business that created the Awards seven years ago, commented:
“The Awards are a unique, independent, not-for-profit initiative in the region that recognise and celebrate the work and achievements of family owned businesses and their leaders. Year-on-year, the Awards grow in strength, popularity and awareness – they bring together a network of 1000 family businesses that is also an incredible community of individuals and businesses all with one common goal – to raise awareness of the contribution the family business sector makes both in the Midlands and nationally, and to reward and acknowledge their work, successes and sustainability. We are indebted to the support of our sponsors, without whom the Awards would simply not be possible.”
